Detects the current parity of a cryptographic key and adjusts it to the desired parity (odd or even) by modifying the least significant bit of each byte. Shows before/after comparison with KCV values.
Inputs
Key: The cryptographic key in hexadecimal.
Target Parity: The desired parity to enforce.
Tips
DES/3DES keys must have odd parity per ANSI X9.24.
Parity adjustment only modifies the LSB of each byte — the effective key strength is unchanged.
Compare original and adjusted KCV to see the impact of parity correction.
