Compare and compute PIN blocks across all five ISO 9564 formats (0 through 4). Each format uses different construction methods — some require PAN, others don't, and Format 4 uses AES encryption.
Inputs
Format: The ISO 9564 PIN block format.
PIN: The cardholder's PIN (4-12 digits).
PAN: Primary Account Number. Required for formats 0, 3, and 4. Not used by formats 1 and 2.
Tips
Format 0 and Format 3 are the most widely used in payment networks.
Format 1 is useful when PAN is not available (e.g., ATM network-level operations).
Format 4 is the newest and most secure — uses AES and is non-deterministic.
